Investigative Assistant/Paralegal – Space Coast

In this role, you will perform a variety of tasks that require discretion and independent judgment in order to fully support our management team and agency. You will be asked to manage calendars, communicate with clients and vendors via phone and email, assist in drafting and report writing, processing cases and data, assist in gathering information/data for dissemination to the team in a usable and effective format, delegating tasks, prepare emails and letters, work with various file formats for video and images, manage tasks list, utilize and develop organization systems as needed, and other tasks in support of our management team and agency.

Experience, Skills, and Mindset Required:

  • 3+ years of experience in the investigation and/or legal industries
  • Bilingual (Spanish)
  • Tech-savvy with both PC and Mac products and software including Microsoft Office products
  • Quickly and accurately type. Must complete typing speed test (50 wpm min).
  • Strong ability to communicate effectively, concisely, openly, and professionally, even when challenging.
  • Effective use of time and strong ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, handle and prioritize simultaneous requests.
  • Ability to critically evaluate and analyze information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, and disseminate critical details to the team, clients, and vendors timely, including follow-up and follow-through.
  • Ability to consistently and effectively pay attention to detail.
  • Ability to set goals and objectives and consistently meet those goals and objectives, in alignment with the agency’s goals and objectives.
  • Instill trust in your team and clients by demonstrating the core values of the agency.
  • Exemplary customer service skills.
  • High-level adaptability and creative thought process.
  • Ability to effectively problem-solve autonomously and in line with the agency’s core values. Identify and resolve problems timely. Work cohesively in a group setting to problem solve. Creates alternative routes and solutions that best fit the problem at hand.
  • Organizational and planning skills are a must. Must be able to organize documents, data, appointments, files, reports, and other information in a streamlined and easy-to-use manner for the team. Must be able to create and develop effective organizational schemes, where needed to get the job done.
  • Must believe in empowering others and exhibit that on a daily basis.
  • Understand principles of confidentiality, privileged communications, and discretion.
  • Understanding of Florida law as it relates to operations and procedures in civil and corporate investigations.

In this role, you will perform a variety of investigative work as needed for our growing agency, including but not limited to surveillance, witness locates, witness interviews, report drafting, skip tracing, investigative research, OSINT, etc.

  • Must submit to a background investigation.

Licensure:

  • Valid “C” license or “CC.”
  • Valid “G” license or ability to obtain one.
  • Valid Florida Driver’s License.

Part-time contract work with potential opportunity to transition into full-time work.
