Let’s step into the shoes of your new role for a quick minute as a Research Investigator and Florida licensed private investigator here at LANCAS. You’ll be diving deep into the digital realm, armed with your trusty computer, a wealth of online investigation techniques & methods, your keen eye for detail, and analytical mindset to uncover critical information. You’ll be conducting thorough investigative research via online sources (both secure and open), human intelligence gathering, social media platforms, and other means. After you find and collect the hidden data, you’ll then meticulously sort and analyze, and ultimately generate compelling reports that are factual, clear, concise, and accurate. You’ll tackle a wide range of assignments from uncovering hidden information to reveal fraudsters, strengthening a case for a paraplegic who’ll need care for the rest of their life, locating missing family members mentioned in wills, to quickly locating family of an incapacitated patient for critical medical decisions, and more.   • What experience, skills, and mindset should you have?

    • 3+ years of professional experience conducting investigative research, legal investigations, or related experience with transferable skills.

    Tech
    • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and navigating various social media platforms.
    • Tech-savviness with case management software, file sharing tools, and photo & video tools.
    • Ability to participate in and conduct virtual meetings.

    Investigations
    • Familiarity with OSINT techniques and methods.
    • Familiarity with the proper methods of intelligence and information gathering.
    • Strong knowledge of and experience in conducting investigative research, data and information collection, analysis, and report writing.
    • Analytical mindset to uncover hidden information and recognize irregularities.
    • Keen eye for behavioral patterns and understanding of human interactions.
    • Familiarity with HUMINT.

    Communication
    • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively, concisely, openly, and professionally, even when challenging.
    • Demonstrates initiative and collaborates effectively within a team.
